How a Boxmistral® is made

We take care of every tiny detail, always.

Advantages of Mistral®

An innovative product does simply appear by chance; it is the outcome of a specific design aim, with a well-defined scope and advantages.

Elastic and non-deformable

Thanks to its incredible elasticity, Mistral® is able to adapt perfectly to the objects or people it accommodates, immediately returning to its original shape.

It distributes the weight of what it supports over thousands of interwoven, flexible threads, adapting to every shape and movement.

Breathable and Fresh

Mistral® is 90% vacuum fabric: this allows the circulation of oxygen and and prevents the formation of moisture,
increasing comfort.

Thanks to its highly breathable structure, it is always well aired and fresh.

Dry and Hygienic

Composed of 100% water-repellent and largely empty polyester,it cannot retain liquids, or moisture, preventing the formation of mould and the proliferation of mites and bacteria.

FAQ

How many times in a year should mattresses be turned over? And why?

If you want to keep your mattress “healthy” over time, it is advisable to rotate it head to foot at each change of season, or 4 times a year.
Only in this way will the mattress maintain its ergonomic performance over the years.

This is because some areas of the mattress may suffer greater wear at certain points, such as where the shoulders and hips lie, which objectively exert more pressure, even if involuntarily.

Simply rotating the mattress 180 degrees, 4 times a year, can help prevent this problem.

What are the signs that the mattress needs to be changed?

The general rule is that mattresses should be changed every 10 years.
However, there are signs, relating to how we feel when we wake up in the morning, which help us understand if the mattress is worn and maybe it may be necessary to change it before 10 years, that is:

  • Pain in the lumbar area upon awakening;
  • Muscles aching already, first thing in the morning, due to them being placed under stress because of incorrect position;
  • Pain in the lumbar area upon awakening;
  • A sense of general fatigue caused by a night without proper repose;
  • Continual neck pain and migraine.

What characterizes an orthopaedic mattress?

The orthopaedic mattress is so called because its goal is to counteract back and cervical pain, in order to correct posture defects and other similar problems.

The orthopaedic mattress is characterized by its rigidity, that guarantees adequate support for your body.

All mattresses of this type are ergonomic, that is, able to adapt to the shapes and lines of your body, supporting the correct posture of the spine, head and neck.

What does ergonomic mean?

Ergonomics is a science whose purpose is to render the elements and functions of an object more suited to its user.
For this purpose, machines, tools and goods are designed which present more appropriate solutions to the psychophysical needs of each individual.

Specifically, an ergonomic mattress is one capable of adapting to the shape and characteristics of the body, reducing pressure points and supporting the spine without sinking or excessive rigidity, which could lead to muscle discomfort.

What are areas with differentiated lift?

A mattress with areas of differentiated lift means one that is able to offer different degrees of support to the different parts of our body, which, naturally, have multiple and different needs.

Modern mattresses all have areas with differentiated lift and therefore offer decidedly superior quality compared to a surface which is uniformly soft or rigid.

There can be between 5 and 12 areas with differentiated lift, specifically:

  • Head
  • Shoulders
  • Pelvis
  • Feet

The purpose of these mattresses is to offer targeted and adequate support.

How to counteract the pain with the mattress?

To avoid annoying back, cervical and/or joint pain, it is essential to perfectly align the head, neck and spine.

How can this be achieved?

  • Use an ergonomic mattress
  • Use pillows designed to correct the distension of the cervical tract and promote good circulation;
  • Sleep on boxmistral® mattresses, which are designed to adapt to body shape during rest, perfectly supporting the body’s weight and thus not deforming over time due to poor weight distribution.

Is it possible to obtain custom-made mattresses?

Mattresses can also be made to measure upon request.

Today, most major companies offer this service and will manufacture tailor-made mattresses individuals.

We give you the opportunity to choose between different types of mattresses with standard sizes or to customize your boxmistral® to suit your personal requirements.

How do you select the right bedframe?

There is guidance available for reference when choosing the bedframe:

  • For spring mattresses, you should opt for wooden or single-piece slats;
  • For latex mattresses and for mattresses in memory foam, the mattress needs an anatomical base or a motorized one;
  • For orthopaedic mattresses, an orthopaedic support base is needed.
